Special Guests from Guinea
The 3rd - 6th graders had a special opportunity to hear from two missionaries who have been serving in Guinea, West Africa for 30+ years. The scholars attentively heard about life without running water, electricity, or restaurants. The missionaries explained that Guinea is unreached and the people they minister to have never even heard the name Jesus. One student asked if it is dangerous to live there and the missionary explained that the safest place to be is in the middle of God's will, and the most dangerous place to be is where you forget your need for Jesus. With their visit we were able to connect geography, Bible, language, and written reflection. Please remember the Hoflands in your prayers as they will return to Guinea in October to continue taking the good news of the gospel to those who have never heard.
