Remembering our blessings
Thank you to all the fifth graders who participated in the service project last Saturday. We made quilts, mats for the homeless, and letters to foster children who are aging out of the system. Thank you to Mrs. Warner for organizing this opportunity to serve and to consider the many blessings we have.
In class this week we analyzed Leif Ericsson's character as he is portrayed in The Vikings by Elizabeth Janeway. In math we practiced some really challenging word problems and reviewed for the chapter 2 test on Monday. The girls graced us with a fun performance of an interactive poem they made up for remembering the locations on the map of ancient Israel. We also had time for two rounds of Kingdoms, our memory challenge game.
Reminders: We have our first assembly this Wednesday, which is also the day book reports are due. Please send an item to contribute to our snack mix for presentations that day. Your child will be teaching you various commands in Latin this weekend. Thank you for participating in their speaking homework!
