Week of Oct. 6

Mr. Heise

House Competition

This week marks the launch of our year-long House Competition. On Friday, each student was ceremoniously sorted into one of several Houses by solving a scavenger hunt through campus culminating in discovering their house assignment. The students devised creative chants for each of their houses, designed shirts and strategized about how they’ll work together throughout the year. We saw that strategization willingness on great display in the egg carry competition and I myself learned a lot about ovoid shape transport.

The House system gives students the chance to grow as leaders while also building camaraderie and mentorship across grade levels. We can’t wait to see what students accomplish together this year—and how they’ll discover and contribute their unique strengths to their House.
