Week of Sept. 1

Dr. Marvin

Amazing weather for science outside!

This week we took advantage of the fall weather and went outside for science!

Physics is learning about linear motion. Our hands-on activity used a variety of objects to calculate speed and acceleration. We compared this acceleration to the acceleration of an object in free fall, which experiences gravity as the only force acting on it.

This week in Earth Science, we were discussing how Earth's place in the solar system is 'just right' for life. We read Psalm 8:3-4 and wrote what it means to us that Earth has been created in just the right way for human flourishing. Students drew many great pictures of their favorite views in nature and reflected on God's great care for us in so many ways.
