Week of Oct. 5

Mrs. Myers

Shut the box!

We have played so many great math games about factors and multiples in these last few weeks. Below you see the students playing a factor version of Shut the Box, where they had to determine if the number they drew had any of its factors left on their gameboard. They have become proficient at identifying the difference between factors and multiples: Factors are finite, and they have friends, while multiples are always more than the number given and can go on forever. As we've studied these concepts we've seen the patterns that God has put in His numbers and that they can be one of His "fingerprints" in His created world.
