Stellar Book Reports!
The students presented their first book reports this week, and they did an excellent job! They spoke clearly and described their books with knowledge and understanding.
What impressed me the most, however, was what happened after each student presented. I had explained to them what would be expected and that we would tell each scholar what we liked about their report and/or something they could improve on for the next time. We talked about the importance of saying our suggestions kindly. And they did!
I heard every student in the class say something positive to their peers and, when they needed to give constructive feedback, it was spoken gently and tactfully. I believe the impact of hearing their classmates give such suggestions will be far greater than anything I could ever say. Well done everyone! My only regret is that I didn't take a picture with them all before Henry left for the day!
