Science was a big hit!
Science was a big hit this week. We began with the discovery that our butterfly larvae had entered their chrysalides over the weekend! The students documented what they observed in their science notebooks. We also learned about the career of being a beekeeper and how awesome ants are (did you know they can form themselves into a raft if their colony floods?).
In between 2 NWEA tests, we had time to learn two new math games, which are pictured below. The students also did some great reflecting in their math notebooks when I asked them to answer the question, "What's the easiest mistake to make in math?" They wrote honest and accurate answers!
Just as a reminder, book reports are due on September 25. It is already written in your student's planner, but one more reminder can't hurt.
