Week of Sept. 23rd

The 4th-grade scholars turned in amazing examples of research this week with their animal research projects. Those projects provided an excellent natural learning opportunity to proofread their work better and catch mistakes (read it from back to front). 

The Fabulous 4th grade earned their first Classical Connection celebration! A Classical Connection is any time they notice a topic from one subject we've studied popping up in another subject (and pointing it out to me).  They found 10 connections in the last few weeks, so we celebrated with a few yummy (gluten-free) treats. Now they are working towards finding 50 connections and celebrating in a slightly bigger way. 

Their first book reports are due on Monday, and a list of ideas on how/what to present is on the Parent Portal. Please help make sure your scholar has his/her report ready to go on Monday!
