Week of Sept. 2nd

The 5th graders enjoyed playing math games like Salute, Multiplication / Division Duel, and Rock Paper Scissors Math. During science, the scholars learned about the roots and shoots systems of plants and observed and sketched some plant samples under the microscopes. We began our study of the Vikings by familiarizing ourselves with the geography of Scandinavia, Iceland, and the northernmost parts of North America. Thankful Thursday happens each Thursday at the end of the day when scholars write three things about another scholar for which they are thankful.
