How does an object move?
How does an object move? The physicists in Rhetoric School have been exploring how inertia, friction, velocity, acceleration, and gravity interact to affect the motion of any object. We have experimented with listening to the sound intervals of washers dropped from free fall, with testing our reflexes against the acceleration of gravity, and with calculating the velocity of a thrown tennis ball. They are now experts in linear motion!

The 7th and 8th grade Logic students are wrapping up their studies of the nervous and endocrine systems and have a quiz on Wednesday, October 2nd. Remind them to study!

The Logic students are also studying multiplication and division of positive and negative integers and fractions (7th), and transformations (8th). They do always have a few math problems as practice each night, which should be written in their planners. Ask to see your scholar’s planner if you need to check in with them.
