Waiting with Hope

Advent is a special time when we prepare our hearts for Christmas. It's a time of waiting and hoping. This can be a hard task, but Advent specifically helps us to remember to wait with joy.

We remember that God sent us Jesus because he loves us very much. So much that He can't tolerate being separated from us. As we study Advent , we remember that Jesus is the Light of the World and His light only burns brighter with each passing day. The children have spent the last 2 weeks celebrating advent by listening to The Story Bible and studying God’s plan for the coming Jesus even through the eyes of The Old Testament. We also crafted ornaments that aligned with the names of Jesus such as The Star and The King.

Thursday we capped off the 2nd quarter by watching VeggieTales: A Star is Born with the 1st and 2nd grade classes. We air-popped some popcorn and enjoyed pizza that was brought by Mrs. Lanzkowsky. It was a fun time!

Wishing your family a restful and memory-filled Christmas!
