Week of Sept. 8

Mrs. Ni

Phenology Wheel

The Kindergarten class has a new daily tradition of filling out a phenology wheel. This is a visual way to track weather patterns and moon phases. To further the students' understanding of moon phases, we discussed moon phases and what they mean in relation to the earth and sun. We even created moon phase cards to practice the names!

Our class has a few new temporary pets-caterpillars! It has been fun to watch them grow in only a few days. We have a field trip coming up on October 1st to the Butterfly Biosphere in Thanksgiving Point. It will be fun to witness the transformation from caterpillar to butterfly up close in the classroom.
