Week of March 2

Mrs. Olson

Presentation Week!

We had such a fun and inspiring week in our classroom! Our book report presentations were amazing. I loved seeing all the creativity, and it was wonderful to watch students get ideas from each other and take them to the next level. We were even visited by the second grade class, who came to see what our students have been working on and to gather ideas for their own book reports.

Each presenter did a fantastic job sharing about their book. Our class also did a great job supporting one another with positive comments, thoughtful questions, and encouragement. A special thank you to Jack M. for the whale gifts and Ellie for the delicious chocolate chip muffins! And thank you to all our parents for your continued support.

Students also did a wonderful job on their spelling tests this week, and many even chose to try the orange (harder) test just for fun. I love seeing them challenge themselves! We continued growing as readers and kept working on learning the 50 states. In preparation for our field trip next week, we also started learning about coral reefs.

In Biblical Studies, we talked about the paralyzed man in Mark 2 and learned that his greatest need was forgiveness. I’m so proud of this class and the way they encourage each other and work hard every day!
