Last Full Week in First Grade
Our last week! Wow, it makes me a bit sad to write this because I have truly loved every single day in the classroom with this amazing crew. I keep telling the other teachers how lucky I’ve been to have this class!
We spent the week enjoying review games, and we definitely had some fierce competition along with a few important lessons on being okay with losing. We also finished our reports, created clay aquatic animals to go along with our projects, and practiced for our end-of-year performance. To top it all off we had a great party to end our year!
We also spent time working on rules, manners, and classroom expectations. I may not always be the strictest teacher (thank you, “boy mom”), but this week we focused on getting ready for second grade and all the responsibility that comes with it.
This group has brought so much joy, laughter, and love into our classroom, and I am so proud of how much each student has grown this year.
