Week of Sept. 8

We wrapped up My Father’s Dragon and completed our lap books. In phonics, we studied the -ck phonogram and took our spelling test, and in math we practiced number bonds. In History and Science, we learned about tools for weather forecasting and how Leif Eriksson landed in North America. To finish the week, we studied Matthew 4:19 and how Jesus chose His disciples and then practiced being “fishers of men.” The students worked so hard, and it was a joy to reward them with quiet play. Some shared sweet drawings and notes on my whiteboard, while others played so nicely together. What a wonderful week!
