Great first week!
This week was a solid week in pre-algebra where we got to know the classroom procedures and our fellow classmates. We also reviewed some of the tools we will need this year, like working with integers and variables in addition to simplifying expressions. Students made posters to help the class remember some new words in our math language. We are leaving some of the elementary math terms behind as we transition to a more sophisticated mathematical language this school year.
Next week, we will begin solving equations.
