So much learning! So few days!
With three fast and furious weeks (only 12 school days!) between Thanksgiving and Christmas, this may be the final blog of 2025.
Last week we considered King David's words from Psalm 24 before we headed to Clark Planetarium. The scholars enjoyed learning about our world, the solar system, and wild weather.
The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it;
for he founded it on the seas
and established it on the waters.
This week every scholar successfully presented a book report and engaged in book discussions with one another. One of the best parts of presentation day is hearing the reasons behind recommending or not recommending a book. Once presentations were done there was continued talk about the books, which is the point! I love when students enjoy books and want to share with others.
Our Latin focus was on Partes Corpus (body parts). You can quiz your child by asking how to say different parts of the body in Latin.
Next week we will wrap up our Advent study and my prayer is that each child can more fully grasp the beauty and wonder of the First Advent, while having great hope in waiting for the Second Advent.
