Field trip!
A long weekend and a field trip? This week was a student’s dream. On Monday, several students came to class with stories to tell and sunburn on their faces. On Wednesday, we took all of Upper School to the Front for some rock climbing fun. After reaching the top of several intense climbs, our scholars were met with their classmates’ cheers as they came down. For those brave scholars who dealt with blistering hands early on, the ping pong table provided enough competition and excitement to keep them going.
We made the most of our few days of class time. In Middle School, we continued our study of important battles during the Civil War. In High School, we compared Beowulf to other Medieval tales like King Arthur and the knights of the round table. Whether in the classroom or outside of it, our Telos scholars attempt and achieve great things. As we get further into the school year, I am excited to see our scholars grow in their skill and excitement for what we learn so that they can reach their full potential.
