Mr. Heise
Into a blessed routine
It's been a week of settling into routines here at Telos as summer memories are filed away for future reminiscences and students get into the swing of studying and thinking. Work must now be done.
Latin students have learned their first 100 words and are already using those words to praise and upbraid their colleagues in the ancient tongue. I'm starting to hear a lot of Latin around school which is very gratifying!
In Algebra we're building a foundation for the year, working on mental math techniques and graphing point-slope equations in this the second unit. Excellent skills in these areas will enable us to practice more interesting and challenging applications to real-world problems in future coursework.
