Ms. Holt
"For unto us a child is born."
What a treat to be able to celebrate the birth of Jesus as a class today! Thank you everyone for bringing in yummy treats to share and for the presents you spoiled me with. The students had so much fun playing the games that Mrs. Shea brought! We also played a rhythm game to the March of the Nutcracker and made cross ornaments out of cinnamon sticks. The wonderful smell of the cinnamon reminds us of the sweetness of God's love, and the cross reminds us of the reason He came.
We also read "The Legend of the Candy Cane", and students learned the meanings behind the shape and colors of this holiday treat. Be sure to ask your child what they learned! I pray that the holiday season brings joy, peace, and hope as we look to Christ and His precious gift to us.
Merry Christmas!
