Week of Feb. 23

Ms. Holt

So much learning! Horses too!

Hi 3rd Grade Families!

We had some exciting events going on this week! I hope you were able to join us for our assembly Wednesday as we celebrated awards and got to see the new logo for our school. What a joy to watch students be recognized for their hard work both academically and spiritually!

In Bible, we made tablets out of clay and wrote out the 10 commandments on them. Today we were able to have a small class party in honor of finishing the book "Misty of Chincoteague." Huge shout out to Mrs. Shea for coordinating our trip to visit the horses that live near our school! We got to feed them carrots, pet them, and learn more about these amazing creatures. We also enjoyed cornbread, jam, and tea just like the characters in the story. Students created their own Misty horse to take home and enjoy. My favorite part of today was watching the students go from being fearful of the horses, to learning they could trust them.

Coming up: Next week we have a field trip to High Uintahs Taxidermy on Tuesday. We will be going after lunch, so no need to pack anything special. Our Aquarium field trip will take place on March 11! This will be an all day event, so please be sure your student has what they need.

There are so many fun events happening at our school! What a gift to be able to have these amazing experiences to help us learn, grow, and apply our knowledge.
