Loveland Aquarium and the Blubber experiment
The trip to the Loveland Aquarium was a great way to see up close some of the things we've been learning about in our Marine Biology unit. The penguins and the stingray touch pool were definite favorites of everyone. When we returned to school today, we were able to do an experiment that displayed how effective blubber is in protecting marine mammals from the cold. I think the students were surprised at how effective it was!
