Week of April 6

Mrs. Olson

What a wonderful week we had in our classroom!

Our students did an amazing job on both their spelling and math tests! We also began learning about informational writing. As a class, we gathered lots of fascinating facts about sharks, which will help us create our very first informational writing piece. Next, we’ll be diving into writing about our favorite animals from the aquarium!

Some students presented their book reports today and did a fantastic job. I always love seeing their creativity and excitement as they share what they’ve learned. We also enjoyed some chocolate chip cookies while discovering interesting new books together, such a fun treat!

We even had a special outdoor activity this week with a lasso rope lesson led by Jack S. Be sure to check out the April photo folder to see all the students giving it a try!

Our class also spent time with our 6th grade reading buddies, which is always a highlight.

We wrapped up the week in biblical studies by making megaphones to remind us to go out and share with our friends and family all that the Lord has done for us.

I hope you enjoy your spring break! I can't wait to hear all about what they were up to when we return.
