Week of Feb. 23

We had a great week in First Grade!

In Math, we worked on numbers to 40, focusing on counting in groups of 10, and continued practicing our subtraction facts. In Phonics, we learned the long e vowel teams ee, ea, and ey.

In Science, we explored the ocean zones and the amazing animals that live there. We also began reading The Courage of Sarah Noble. In Geography, we studied Kansas and Oklahoma and enjoyed working on our state puzzles while singing our states song.

We ended the week celebrating Jack and Aspen’s birthdays, a great way to wrap up our week!
