Book Reports, Bible, and Hard Work This Week
Our students did a wonderful job on their book reports this month! I loved seeing their creativity through costumes, drawings, dioramas, mobiles, and even dragons given as gifts.
In Bible this week, we studied Matthew 3 and learned about John the Baptist, the messenger sent to prepare the way for the Lord. The kids immediately connected our lesson to a song they are singing for Mrs. Sytsma and went straight into singing, “Prepare the Way of the Lord”—I love how they make connections!
This week in phonics, we focused on R-controlled vowels. In Math, we explored length, and in Science, we learned how sand is created and which animals live in it. In History, we finished learning about Columbus.
It was a great week!
