Telos Classical Academy is a private classical Christian school in Park City, UT. Teachers are expected to model excellence, serve as guides and mentors to help students reach their potential, and live by the habits and virtues we teach. Teachers set high expectations for students and maintain an educational atmosphere that encourages effective student learning and supports school goals. All staff and faculty report directly to the Dean of Students and Faculty.
Teachers are expected to:
- Understand and adhere to the principles of classical education
- Apply the principles of the trivium to his/her level of teaching
- Cover the prescribed classical curriculum and sequence
- Engage all students in the discussion
- Develop the intellect and personal character of each student to the utmost of his/her ability
- Be willing to meet each child’s academic needs
- Promote high academic standards
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
- Differentiate instruction based on the level of the child in the mixed-age environment
